So, maybe it seemed like a good idea on the Internet! But it was an adventure that was not anticipated. Derek and Travis went to play golf. We thought it would be fun to go collect shells at Shell Island. We got a little lost on the drive there. Then it was nap time and lunch time for everyone by the time we arrived. Then it was standing around waiting for our bus to take us to the boat, then a 15 minute boat ride, then a walk down the beach to get to our spot. Did I mention that we did not pack lunch nor umbrellas? BUT somehow there was still tons of stuff we were carrying. Luckily you can rent umbrellas there. Next time, we just need to rent our own pontoon boat. Lesson learned.
It was a neat place, but maybe not the best place for babies or at least without my husband. BUT it was all a learning experience...that is what parenthood and vacations are all about right?
