the long awaited return of the blog...Derek's post from 8/26/08

yes folks, we are back. truthfully we have never left but have just been lazy due to new jobs and pregnancy and other stuff.

but, since all 3 to 6 of you who couldn't stand life without our blog have sent multiple requests (not really) to start posting again we have agreed to do so.

so here it is.

as you might all know we are expecting. i use the "we" very loosely since i pretty much do nothing but whatever crystal says.

this post has something to do with that. we went to pick up our baby furniture (crib, co-sleeper, nightstand, rocker and plenty of other baby stuff) last monday. we borrowed tommy's truck to pick up the stuff. there was a chance of rain so we took a tarp just in case.

well of course, we are 10 miles north of new braunfels and it looks like a turd floater was coming. we spoke to tommy and he let us know that was the case.

so we pulled over at the fireworks super store and i attempted to tie up the tarp over the furniture. needless to say it was fairly comedic. i get most of my knot tying and basic mechanical skills from my father which means that is basically nothing.

here are pictures of the tarp before we drove. yes, it looks pretty good. luckily, you couldn't see it afterwards.
